I'm Getting Married

I'm getting married in 5 Days!!! It's so weird and awesome all at the same time!

Correction I will be getting married in 40 days on 12/16/11!! Yay!

42 Days & counting!

I am getting married in 42 days!! December 19, 2011 needs to hurry up and get here!! Chris and I have been engaged for 2 years and been together for nearly 6 years and we are finally getting married! I am so ready! We aren't having a ceremony or doing anything really we are just going to the courthouse and signing the papers so we can be married!! We are so ready, we have been for so long. It may be disappointing to some that we are not having a ceremony but this is what we want, we would rather save our money for our honeymoon then spend it on a ceremony that will just be a hassle and that we won't even get to enjoy for very long, so this is how it will be and if someone doesn't like it to bad it our choice. =p

Flat Tires

So I am cursed when it comes to tires. I'm not even kidding! I get flat tires all of the time! In the rain, in the snow, doesn't matter the weather or time of day, I get flat tires all of the time!! No one else I know gets flats nearly as often as I do. In fact all the people all know haven't had flat tires the entire time I've known them, I get them all! So I got a flat on vacation while visiting my fiance in Stillwater, luckily I still had my brother Andy's air compressor from the last time I had a flat, so I aired up my tire and when I got back home I went to Hibdon and had my tire fixed, there was a screw in it. So I go see my friend and come home and the next morning I take Toto out for his walk and what do I see, the SAME tire is flat again!! So I had to go back today and get it fixed again! So they take my tire off and check it out but can't find anything wrong with it! Then why did it go FLAT!! Ugh! All I have to say is it better stay fixed this time or I'm going to be pissed and they will hear about it!!!

Writing

So I have been a writer since I was a little girl. I began with just rewriting stories I already knew, like Goldilocks, The Three Little Pigs and so on. Then when I got into upper elementary and middle school I began creating my own stories. Then in high school I stopped writing and began reading more, now I have picked up the pen again and I have a brilliant idea for a story which I have started on but I don't have any real experience in creative writing and don't know how to deal with things like writer's block or being frustrated with knowing what i want to say but not knowing how to write it. I see how I want things to go in my head but getting it down on paper can sometimes be difficult for me. Are these normal problems for writers? Or is it just a sign that I shouldn't try to be a writer?

Vacation

The reason we take vacations, is to relax and get away from jobs, or people we just cannot stand to be around for another second or quiet possibly both.  Or in my case to get away from work and the people there that I cannot stand! Ugh, I often wonder why I am forced to work with people who have no work ethics, they just sit around and be lazy not doing the job they are paid to be doing. I feel like at least half the time I am having to pick up after other people or take up their slack. These are grown adults, some of them twice my age that are acting less mature then myself. I mean come on folks you are adults act like it! This is my problem I expect adults to act like adults and not children. Children I expect it from because they do not know any better, adults know better and yet they refuse to do any better!! WTF! Grow up you are adults freaking act like it!!!

Ok so I'm slightly obsessed with the movie Burlesque! It's awesome!! If you haven't seen it then I highly suggest that you do. Also on a different note I met the author Ellen Schrieber yesterday she is a really nice lady. She came to town for a signing and unfortunately not many people showed up but she was very nice and sweet and she signed a whole bunch of copies of her books for us to take back to the store with us. :) Thanks Ellen Schrieber

This guy is AWESOME!! I love Michael Buble! He does such great music, I wish I had gone to his show when he was in T-town, but unfortunately for me, I was broke =( of course. But one day I will see him live, I have all of his CD's, he was even in a movie that I have seen it was actually how I discovered his music! I saw him in the movie and his character was singing so I had to watch the credits to see if it was really him. It turned out it was really him and he had a couple CDs out! Whoot Whoot! He is awesome if you haven't heard of him you should look him up and listen to his music because its amazing. =)

Boredom =\

I have been so completely bored being stuck in the apartment since Monday evening. Of course there are things I could be doing like putting laundry away or working on things but I just don't feel motivated to do these things because I know I'm going to be stuck here for a while longer I know I have time to do them. I usually would just pick up one of my many books and read but I'm just not in the mood. Plus this all puts a damper on the vacation I am scheduled for next week. Which is a huge bummer because now I may not get to do what I had planned on doing, which was drive to Chris' and spend a few days with him, and unless the snow melts a good deal before then and we don't get the even more snow that is headed our way it's not going to happen which makes me very sad. Because I had been looking forward to spending some time with him, usually we only get an evening or partial day together because I work so much and he goes to school so much. I'll keep my fingers crossed and we shall see what happens.

2/4/11

So I hate the snow, completely and utterly hate the snow. It's pretty to look at but that is about it. I tried to drive through the snow and ice this morning to get to work to make money which I desperately need and what happens I get stuck! Not only do I get stuck but I got stuck trying to go up hill. And what resulted from that a FLAT TIRE! So then I had to drive in reverse back down the hill on a flat tire to make it to a parking lot so that I could change that tire and put on my tiny tiny doughnut of a spare tire. =\ Oh and the day is not over yet, as I proceed to change the flat tire the jack slips out from under the car just as I'm about to pull the flat tire off. Luckily I was not under the car and was not injured, but I did have to start the whole process over again. When I finally got the spare tire on i realize yay it's almost flat. Luckily i had pulled in next to a gas station that had an air pump, but I didn't have any change, so I go inside and ask the guy at the counter if they give change back on debt transactions he says no, but there is an atm over in the corner (ugh). So i get out twenty bucks buy a bag of mini oreos and ask that I get a dollar of my change in quarters. Ok so now i have money for the air pump and some mini oreos to eat once i finally make it home, but as I'm attempting to see if the hose on the air pump is long enough to reach the other side of my car (becuase I had to park a distance away from the pump due to snow), the guy comes out and says "Oh here I'll turn that on for you, don't worry about putting change into the pump" (in his weird accent that I can not place), and I'm thinking "DUDE! why do you think I asked for the quarters! You couldn't have offered this before I got money out of your atm and got an atm fee charged". So I get the spare aired up and i drive home, only once did my tires spin on the way back, but then of course as I'm trying to drive up a small incline into my apartment complex I get stuck again! So I back out and go to the other entrance thankfully I was able to make it in that entrace. I make it all the way around to where I park and guess what I GET STUCK! So my mom and two gentlemen help push my into my spot, where my car will stay until this F*ing snow melts and I can go and get my real tire fixed/repaired and may safely drive again.
Moral of this story is SNOW SUCKS!
